Tim Mackey

Since his first programming experiments as a child on a ZX Spectrum in the late 80s, Tim was never going to work at anything else. He went to university and grounded his passion for programming with a 4 year degree studying computer systems at University of Limerick. This study involved a strong focus on mathematics, algorithms & analysis, which fine-tuned his problem-solving approach to software.
Graduating in 2003, Tim founded his own firm and started developing web sites and applications for local companies and organisations, expanding the business each year with new clients and projects.

We are hiring: Senior .NET Developer (Contract) - Farm-Assurance Platform Rebuild

Engagement: Contract, €500-€700 day-rate
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week on site at South Anne St, Dublin 2
Start: Immediate / ASAP
Duration: Rolling 6-month contract with scope for extension

We're building a new farm-assurance and quality-audit platform to replace a long-standing scheme-by-scheme system, consolidating multiple certification schemes onto a single universal standard. It's a full rebuild: one application, one data model, each capability implemented once and configured per scheme/scope rather than duplicated. This is a business-critical system supporting tens of thousands of members and tens of thousands of audits a year.

Tech stack: .NET 10 (LTS) API-first modular monolith, ASP.NET Core with server-rendered Razor, Entity Framework Core, Azure SQL, App Service, Service Bus, Blob Storage, .NET MAUI (Android) for offline field data capture, Azure DevOps CI/CD and Entra ID.

Required: 3-5+ years' commercial C# / .NET experience, solid ASP.NET Core (Razor Pages or MVC), EF Core and SQL Server / Azure SQL, Git, code review and CI/CD. Candidate must be already located in Ireland, eligible to work in Ireland, and available for hybrid on-site work in Dublin 2.
